Foster Educational Institute, Oakland’s non-profit local education fund, dedicated to supporting educational equity and academic excellence in Oakland’s public schools, will host a Public Dialogue and Oakland School Board Candidates forum on Charter Schools to engage the Oakland community in a meaningful, informative, balanced public dialogue on charter schools. We will hear from all perspectives: pro, con, and neutral, and discuss legal mandates, choice, accountability, policy and budget implications, educational equity, and more.
