The Marcus Foster Education Board is pleased to announce the addition of three new Trustees.

Linda Halpern is a seasoned, retired educator who spent her entire career as an English teacher for 36 years at Castlemont High School in Oakland, CA.  Linda was recruited to participate in Mississippi Freedom Summer in 1964 by Howard Zinn and Bob Moses.  Additionally, Linda has extensive international experience in teaching around the globe, including French West Africa, St. Lucia, Costa Rica, South Africa and India.

Charles Robinson has served as General Counsel and Vice President for the University of California for seven years.   As General Counsel, he is the Chief Legal Officer of the University, providing advice to The Regents, the President and other senior University officials; overseeing a legal staff of 80 attorneys at ten campuses, five medical centers and one national laboratory; and retaining and managing outside counsel. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Harvard University and a Juris Doctorate degree from Yale University.

Dr. Sandra Weatherby is an Oakland native and Castlemont graduate who also had Linda Halpern as her English teacher!  Dr. Weatherby has enjoyed practicing internal medicine at Kaiser Permenente for over 13 years.  Her practice philosophy is driven by a strong desire to help her patients and to keep them healthy.
