We’re excited to offer paid student internships for emerging professionals both virtually or in-person at our office in Oakland, California.

Placements are designed to give interns first-hand experience working within a unique education non-profit seeking to improve outcomes and conditions for BIPOC youth in public K-16 institutions. MFEI prioritizes offering experiences in which interns hold an integral role in major projects for the organization.

Past interns have supported the organization in the following areas:

  • Initiative design and implementation grounded in JEDI
    (Justice-Equity-Diversity-Inclusion)

  • Policy advocacy

  • Student outreach and engagement

  • Data collection and analysis

  • Events and Convenings

  • Communications

  • Research

  • Accounting

  • Human resources

  • Operations

MFEI Interns are also supported with career mentorship, professional skill development, and connection to networking opportunities. For more information about available internship opportunities please click the INTERNSHIP INTEREST FORM button to submit an interest form.
